1966 Martin 000-18 Acoustic Guitar. Feel free to make a reasonable offer. The modern 000-18 can be traced to 1934 when Martin altered the model from a 12- to 14-fret design. The 000-18 has remained in production ever since as one of Martin's most popular Auditorium-sized guitars. Like all 18-style Martins, the 000-18 uses a Mahogany body which, combined with its small body-size, makes it a great finger-picking guitar. Years of Production: 1934 - present. Wood Composition: Mahogany back and sides, Spruce top, Mahogany neck, Rosewood fingerboard. Design Elements: Tortoiseshell pickguard, unbound fingerboard, 14-frets (clear of body). Notable Players: Norman Blake, Woody Guthrie. Soon after this year Martin stopped using as good quality mahogany to build these guitars. The original black pickguard shrank and was replaced. Repairs were done professionally, Jim Lombard, Tom Cerletti. Does not need a neck reset. Hard case included, not an original case.
